Vol. 2 Issue 4 (2023)

YURIS, a term for jurist, denotes one who delves into the depths of jurisprudence—conducting, researching, and unraveling the intricate threads of law and its principles.

YURIS: Journal of Court and Justice is now open for the submission of scholarly articles from researchers, lecturers, and students, offering an opportunity to contribute to the development of intellectual discourse.

The editorial team of YURIS is offering opportunities to contribute to the development of the Court and Justice sector, supported by external reviews from experts in their respective fields. YURIS is published four times a year as a commitment to delivering scientific knowledge to society.

This issue discusses the legal aspects of various cases, including the cancellation of the Consumer Dispute Settlement Decision by BPSK Surabaya in 2020, analyzing its reasons and legal implications. It also examines public perception in Gedangan regarding the punishment of criminal beating perpetrators from a sociology of law perspective. Furthermore, it explores law enforcement efforts against human trafficking within the police jurisdiction in Sangihe Islands, highlighting challenges in its implementation. The role of the Sampang Regional Government in controlling sandstone mining activities is also analyzed, focusing on regulations and supervision. Additionally, the study reviews legal enforcement against motorcycle embezzlement offenders based on court decision No. 85/PID.B/2022/PN KTG, including legal considerations. Lastly, it discusses inheritance practices in Juwono Village, Kertosono Subdistrict, Nganjuk Regency, examining how customary and state laws are applied in wealth distribution.
