PEER REVIEW PROCESS

Acitya Wisesa: Journal of Multidisciplinary Research applies a double-blind peer review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review procedure. This process ensures impartial evaluation and maintains academic integrity.

The Submitted manuscripts will be pre-reviewed by editors, to determine whether the manuscript fulfilled ACITYA WISESA requirements or not. Manuscripts which have fulfilled the journal guidelines will be peer-reviewed. Final decision of manuscript acceptance is solely decided by editors based on the reviewers' comment.

1. Initial Editorial Screening

The editorial team conducts a preliminary assessment to ensure that the manuscript:

  • Falls within the journal’s scope
  • Complies with the Author Guidelines
  • Meets basic academic and ethical standards

Manuscripts are scrutinised for structure, organisation, correctness, and clarity of language and compliance with the Author Guidelines of the journals. Typographical, grammatical, content clarity and format compliance of manuscripts are the author's responsibility(s). Manuscripts not meeting these conditions will be returned to the authors.

2. Reviewer Assignment

Eligible manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research background, and absence of conflicts of interest.

3. Review Process

Reviewers are expected to assess the manuscripts and provide helpful feedback so that the author(s) can improve the quality of the manuscript. The manuscript is also judged on its originality, contribution, technical excellence, presentation clarity, and research depth. Finally, reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and novelty
  • Methodological rigor
  • Clarity of analysis and argumentation
  • Relevance to the field
  • Contribution to knowledge

Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept without revision
  • Accepted and revised on a minor scale
  • Accepted and revised on a major scale
  • Resend for a new round of review
  • Reject

The completion of the review process will usually take three to five weeks.

4. Editorial Decision

The Editor evaluates all reviewer reports before making a final decision. Manuscripts that have been accepted will be published. Manuscripts requiring minor or major revisions are returned to the author(s) to implement the editor's suggestions. Upon resubmission, the Chief Editor re-examines the manuscripts before accepting them for publication. The Chief Editor may require authors to make additional corrections in some cases. In contrast, in others, the Chief Editor may request that the revised manuscripts with (or without) the further modifications be sent to a specific reviewer who has previously reviewed the manuscript before it is accepted for publication. The final decision rests solely with the Editor.

5. Author Notification

The Editor communicates the decision to the author, including reviewer comments.

6. Final Processing

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and publication. Manuscripts requiring revision must be resubmitted after addressing all reviewer comments.
