Vol. 3 Issue 1 (2024)

LUX MENSANA: Journal of Scientific Health is an international scientific journal health sciences, in the field of medicine, nursing, public health, midwifery, nutrition, health biology, medical analysts, physiotherapy, and others. LUX MENSANA is a peer-reviewed scientific journal, only accepts scientific articles that have never been published before (proven by publication ethic statement that will be collected before publication).

This issue discusses the relationship between metabolic and lifestyle factors with various health conditions. A comparative study in Nnewi, Nigeria, examines serum leptin levels, lipid profiles, and fasting blood glucose (FBG) in overweight and obese individuals to understand obesity-related metabolic risks. A literature review explores the determinants of diabetic retinopathy in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, identifying key risk factors and prevention strategies. Another study focuses on nursing care for hyperemesis gravidarum patients, particularly in managing nutritional imbalances to support maternal and fetal health. Research in Babakan Pari Village analyzes the link between diet, physical activity, and hypertension incidence among the elderly, providing insights into community-based prevention. Additionally, an analytical descriptive study evaluates the effectiveness of infrared therapy for diabetic gangrene treatment at the Surabaya Wound Care Home, offering new perspectives on chronic wound management.
